Both. I like to alternate when I get tired of doing one activity. Currently, I am in the mood to play.
I have played AD&D, D&D 3-3.5, GURPS, Palladium, White Wolf, Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Champions and many more. I enjoy playing D&D 3.5, but I wouldn't mind playing a D20, White Wolf, GURPS or any other similar system of game. I would also enjoy something from a sci-fi, horror or hero genre. I have played D&D 4.0, but didn't like it. It seems to me that it was purely a marketing decision designed to attract computer game players used to team roles such as tanks, defenders and controllers. I also can't support them when 4.0's initial concept was to have a set of elaborate online tools available when the books were released.
Saturday or Sunday. Saturday after 3 and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm, but not the entire time. I would like to play once or twice a month. A Friday night game would be possible if it is really close.
I have obligations at home, so gaming in Yonkers, or close to Yonkers is desirable. Although I love heroic fantasy, I do not enjoy a game that is focused primarily on gaining treasure, gear and experience. My girlfriend would probably like to join me as well.
I'm a 45 year old who has been playing role-playing games since the age of 12. I enjoy a good story most, but I appreciate tactical combat as well. I don't have a lot of time to devote to a rpg, but I would like to play once or twice a month.
