From the website:

The American Roots Music Festival is an all day, family- friendly event throughout Caramoor’s beautiful performance spaces, gardens and grounds. The Festival offers an eclectic mix of folk, country, bluegrass, gospel, blues, singer/songwriter, traditional and contemporary roots music performed by legendary stars and up-and-coming artists.

In addition to hours of great music, your Day Only ticket includes free and convenient parking, real restrooms, shady viewing areas and a shade tent for daytime shows, spacious green picnic lawns (some with old fashion picnic tables), plenty of space to listen or areas to explore, assorted food and beverages to purchase from our refreshment stand (or bring your own!), and tours of the historic Rosen house.

A great way to spend a summer day!

Daytime Schedule:

Noon – 6:00pm / Friends Field, Sunken Garden - for more detail, see below

(links to performances online)

Please bring a low-profile chair or blanket, as well as food and beverage for yourself or to share.  For those of us who can arrive early, we'll set up a spot and do some picnicking on the grass before the music starts.

Let's watch the forecast and be prepared for the weather - I'll check in that week with more information.

Food and Beverages - We can bring our own food and beverage, there is an on-site concession booth, or we can order (by Tuesday, 6/24) from a catered Special Picnic Menu.  For more information about Caramoor's offerings, please click here:  Food|Caramoor

I just updated the listing with the schedule of performances and their locations, and information about food that's available at Caramoor, if anyone's interested. I also added a link to a map for those who will be visiting for the first time.

Hi Everyone - looks like a nice group of us! I'll be keeping my eye on the weather as we get closer to the end of the week, and if rain is an issue, I'll be in touch about that. More soon -

I heard three of these performers 45 years ago. Who says you can't go home again? Do we individually purchase our own tickets directly from Caramoor?

    • Laura S.

Hi Conrad - I'm glad you can join us again this year - I bet it will be great to see some of the artists again after 45 years!

And yes, we purchase our tickets directly from Caramoor, the link is in the posting. Thanks -
