This is just a pool to gauge interest in "geek cooking"- supper clubs, making pickles, brewing beer, molecular gastronomy,, ect. If you are interested and we get enough people, we will schedule a date.

I am thinking Ill pass on the crowded kitchen

Hey gang...I will be honest with you. This sort has snuck up on me. With nearly 30 people coming, it will be a super crowded kitchen, so we are going to have to try to make this a manageable cooking experience where we work in shifts. Not all of us will be able to cook and work. I can bring my sausage stuffer/meat grinder and some of us can make sausage. I can also bring some molecular Gastronomy stuff and people can play with that as well. Perhaps a paella. Some people need to also have some ideas/volunteer things they hey want to make and demo. If you are going to demo something, bring your supplies with you. Isabelle is gracious to open up her home, but we are not to use all her spices. Volunteers for cleaning is good. I think that people should bring some food and drink as well. This is a lot of mouths to feed.

I already blew my best with the Chili... Now I have to think of a new dish!

And are we cooking at your house all at once, or bringing stuff like the last party? I'm assuming the latter, but you know what assuming does.

    April 8, 2013

    • Isabelle A.

actually the former. hence it being at my place with the large stove and multiple ovens.

      April 8, 2013

    • Michael

regards to your two last posts, then I will try to think of something not needing the oven or stove... I tend to make those areas very messy whilst cooking.

  • Isabelle A.

I just would like to say that this is kind of Blair's gig. Like I volunteered my place because it is my convenient and I am def excited to cook together but in terms of what we are specifically doing, it is up to him. He da man.

I'm thinking interest meeting, right? I did just figure out how to make chicken nuggets from scratch. I could bring those.

    September 3, 2012

I'd definitely host an intro to molecular gastronomy. The problem is that I have limited space, and could probably only have a total of 6-7 participants.

    1 · September 3, 2012

  • Sarah

Sounds super cool, I would try to participate.
