It is off the hook here. Call[masked] if have any questions.
Bus was late but I'm on the way over now.
Coming soon. And, my room mate wants to come!
Jenna and i will be late: probably get there closer to 830
Hey guys! Looking forward to when you get here. Once you get to the place, walk to the back of the house on the right. If you don't find parking on the street, you might be able to park behind the bank or behind the stores on the opposite side of the street...just be careful, because both establishments have been known to boot cars, especially after midnight.
besides BYOB, anything else I should bring?
Maybe something to nosh on but I'm sort of assuming people will eat a bit before they come. I'm bringing something fun and halloweeny to drink, and other near tricks.
Sorry I have to cancel going to the party! I have a family emergency to attend to. I was really looking forward to being Honey Boo Boo!!!! :(
What's our contingency plan if it rains? It's looking like a major possibility... >.>;

Honestly, I don't think so: we're not supposed to get more than a 30% chance of rain tomorrow night - the big stuff is going to hit later in the day Sunday. Worse comes to worst, we'll move the party inside.
We can hop in my TARDIS and head out.
Hey, all I am new here and I am come from outside US, also I've never been in a party like this. Hopefully I can be invited. Thanks

Hi Miao, welcome to Westchester Geeks! All you have to do is RSVP to the event and say that you'll come and you'll be welcome to the party. Hope to see you there!

Also wanted you guys to know that my apartment is less than 5 minutes drive from the Tarrytown train station; if anyone wants to come in on the train and needs a ride, let me know and I'll be happy to pick you up.

Is it near a bus stop?
There are a bunch of bus stops all over town, although I don't know the routes at all. The nice thing about my place is that it's pretty much in the dead center of town, so it can be accessed from pretty much anywhere without a lot of difficulty. That said, did Dina e-mail everyone my actual street address yet?

I was gonna ask, do you mind if I put up the address in a way that only people in this group can see it or should I just email all the rsvps.
The 13 goes there from Port Chester and White Plains, but at that point you might as well just ask me for a ride since I work and live in those places, respectively.
Hey Isabelle; by all means post the addy to this site. Also, you can up the limit to 20 people as of now, and I might be able to fit even more people if the locals my roommate and I invited on facebook don't reply with a yes in the near future. I'll keep you posted.
The party's actually taking place in my backyard; shouldn't be a problem squeaking in a few other people.

The RSVP is capped at 15 and we've reached it! Will John's house fit more than 15 people?
You can bring anything you want but I'm sure the major need will be alcohol and candy... Maybe pumpkin muffins or something but this is a no hastle kind of deal so you doing have to get too complicated.

Should we bring anything besides beer? Snacks? Real food? Microwaveable frozen stuff? Soda or juice?
I'm sorry, people have been messaging me about this but I have been so insanely busy that I've had to put geekdom on a backburner for a few days. Two people have volunteered locations: John Sudol as seen below, and Finn who hosted the last major party gig with much success. I am happy wherever... any thoughts? Especially from the two potential hosts??
I say we have our own version of the Hunger Games. Winner hosts the party.

Since Fenn hosted last time, if John is open to having it at his place, I think that would be great. It's also more "mid-Westchester".. and heck, it's near Sleepy Hollow, which is Westchester's Halloween hot spot.
I agree, I don't wanna always be inviting myself over to Fenn's place. XD
Hey all! I'm happy to offer my place in Tarrytown as a location for this event; I've got a big backyard with a fire pit and a place to set up a projector for movies and/or Rock Band. Let me know if this sounds good to you guys and I'll post my full address.

Do we all have to get dressed in a costume?
0 · October 14, 2012
It's highly recommended but we won't beat you up if ya don't. XD
So I'm totally down with this...anyone have an idea for a location?
