Graham Hills Park

Distance: 4 mile power hike with hilly terrain

Let's hike the HILLS of Graham Hills Park BLUE LOOP

This is a mountain bike park with 5 miles of hilly trails.  We will share the trails with bikes and horses.   Horses have the right of way then hikers then bikers.

Graham Hills, a one-time hamlet and station on the Putnam Railroad, takes its name from Dr. Isaac Gilbert Graham, a Revolutionary War army surgeon, who settled there circa 1785.

The trails total about five miles in distance and are geared toward experienced riders. The route winds through the many diverse habitats of this beautiful 431-acre park. The trails are mostly single track, and can be used in both directions. Please exhibit caution and common sense while riding.

Directions: Route 117, Pleasantville, NY across from Pace University

Parking: free

Park hours: Open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to dusk, year-round. Phone: (914)[masked]

Dogs: Must be leashed. Waste bags are provided to pick up after your pets.

Did I mention this park is hilly ... oh yeah, 5 miles of hills!!!!!

The hike exceeded my expectations, having never hiked before. I will attend future hikes and am glad I broke the ice, and not any bones tonight!

Fun hike everyone. I'm looking forward to more in the future. Definitely a little challenging, but also fun, and it was nice meeting those in attendance.

Can anyone estimate how long it will take us to complete the hike?

Thanks for the info Liz. Now it'll be easier for me to plan the rest of the night. Either way, looking forward to it.

Picked up a LED Cap Light that hopefully we be good for the hike and a knapsack for water, and overall am looking forward to getting involved. A good workout in nature is way superior in my book to indoor treadmills and stationary bikes. Softball this year has been great fun, and I'm psyched for hiking as well!

This hike sounds good, and I look forward to making it. I believe I know where this park is as I used to work part-time evenings at Phelps, just a little further down the road. I look forward to it!

Some fresh air and exercise in nature will be very welcome after a long day in a windowless office!
