We asked for a nice day ...and Peter delivered! We didn't see bikinis but we saw a couple of T-shirts, which I thought it was an absolute miracle given the weather of our previous couple of weeks! Thank you to Peter for organizing another hike on this favorite spot and to everyone for a fun time!

Call ahead for Microspikes. With all the snow this year most stores are sold out. Better to buy them at amazon or other. Often free delivery and no tax.

I've been out in Fahnestock and trails are hard and icy. Are micro-spikes a must for this hike?

    March 7, 2014

    • Peter

Yes, I believe that they are necessary for this hike.

Looking for a ride and will split all expenses...
I am at NYC Upper West Side, will meet any where convenient for you...
Pick up by the George Washington Bridge around 178th or 179th Streets or New Jersey, Fort Lee is also good places...

Microspikes are an excellent investment. They last for years and have paid for themselves many times over. I leave them in my trunk or backpack all winter.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
