Thursday Sail

  • Aug 28, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Please contact John at[masked] (His contact info will be visible once you join WSPS MeetUp) in advance of Thursday sail to check availability of room on the Yacht since there is a limit on each vessel for safety and comfort reasons.
We will try our best to accommodate you but please understand if we run out of space on the vessel. Sailing arrangements are being handled by John.
Please contact John at[masked] or [masked] so that he can coordinate boats and locations.
Usually there are 2 to 3 yachts which are available to go out but we need to balance space available with experienced sailors and new guests.
If you would like to join a Thursday sail you should:
1. Send an email to John at [masked] at least 3 days before the sail (Monday) so John can assign you to a boat. If you can't get the information to John by Monday, we will try to accommodate you but may just ask you to be on the list for the following week.
2. Emil to send to John must include a phone number where you can be reached.
3. Your friends will be accommodated only if there is enough room on a boat. We will put a max of 5 people on a boat and that will include one experienced sailor to assist the captain. So basically we will assign 4 people, one experienced member and the captain which will total 6.
John needs to have your contact information (telephone number and/or email address) so that he can contact you directly in case of a weather cancellation, etc.
If you show up without first contacting John as to availability of room on the vessel, we will not be able to permit you to get on the vessel.
Please understand that this is for safety and comfort of other passenger of the boat. Any rude behavior or rudeness to the skipper or fellow crew of the vessel will result in our refusal to permit you to get on the vessel.
Thursday night sail is very relaxing and fun experience so only polite and pleasant passengers are allowed to get on board our vessels.
You are welcome to join us for Thursday night sail (provided that there is a room on the vessel) up to 2 times before you will have to decide if you will be joining United States Power Squadron as due paying member.
There is no obligation for you to join USPS membership but if you do not decide to join USPS as a due paying member after participating in our Thursday night sail twice, you will no longer be able to join us for Thursday night sail.
