Dog Day August Afternoon Spirited Rhythms

Ahh, the dog days are amongst us.  What better way to embrace them than to keep one step cooler by conjuring up intriguing rhythms? Please join us.  Bring a friend or relative.  No experience necessary, just a commitment to groove! Please note that there is a $10 charge to park at Croton Point Park.  Also, someone usually brings a beverage or two, or some fruit salad, but any other communal offerings are always appreciated.

The Dog Day August Afternoon Spirited Rhythms was wonderful! There was great drumming which included my daughter and other great drummers. Join us again at Lake Lincolndale beach on 8/16 for more Great Spirited Drumming!

Hi Jeff and Frank. I was looking forward to today, but wasn't feeling great. I got in the car anyway, and headed over, but then had to admit I wasn't really feeling well. So, I came back home. Sorry to have missed it. Hope it went well! Next time...Patricia

No actual rain in the forecast today !! We have lots of first timers coming today. A couple of notes:
    1) it costs $10 to park. Drive straight to the rear parking lot and hang a left, you will see a giant gazebo which will likely be occupied by others. We'll meet in the parking lot in front of the gazebo and will walk to a free area. 2) bring a chair or something to sit on while playing. 3) my cell number is (914)[masked] if you get lost. If i don't answer, also send a text (sometimes I get texts but not calls). See you all later.

    I'm psyched for tomorrow's
Dog Day August Afternoon Spirited Rhythms. Remember, rain is a gift from the spirits. I look forward to playing spirited drumming with you all!

    FYI:

Drum class/circle at Sticks & Stones Farm in Newtown, CT this Saturday 08/02/14 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Only two more sessions left in the series after this one (on 09/06/14 and 10/04/14); no late-fall or winter sessions this year, unfortunately. For more info, Google sticksandstonesfarm.com and select "What's Happening." It's a smallish group, with an emphasis on structure and interplay over just slamming away. Though that can be fun, too! Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Thanks.

I'll be there, provided the Saab gods don't continue to vex me. Damn car broke down twice more after it died on the way to the July 13th Croton Point circle; same exact problem each time. Supposedly fixed each time. Pssst...wanna buy a Saab, cheap??
