Berkshire Waterfalls Workshop

Join us in shooting 2 different waterfalls at the same location!

Tannery Falls and the various other waterfalls and cascades in the general vicinity make up what we would like to call a section of waterfall country. The main attraction, officially known as Tannery Falls, is an 80-foot series of tall plunges and curving horsetails. The upper 35-feet of this falls are a thundering curtain of whitewater, always impressive, even with little water flow. The bottom half of the falls is a series of narrowing horsetails that end in a shallow pool.

The second largest falls, Parker Brook Falls, lies only feet from Tannery Falls. It can be seen from the main trail as you walk back up the trail but you have to look carefully. This multi-section plunge waterfall falls down through an angular gorge. The water remains only 4 feet to 5 feet in width throughout the long formation. There is also a small set of cascades that is inches from the parking lot, accessible by bushwhacking on a primitive path to the left of the main trail.

Note: Be sure to bring a tripod, snacks/lunch and drinks. Wear comfy shoes for walking!

This location is a moderate walk- from the parking lot down stairs and back around approx 15 mins of walking up and down to the 2 waterfalls.

Use your GPS and try not to use Black Rock Rd- it may be washed out from the hurricane 2 yrs ago

Hi Jennifer . Just wanted to remind you that black rook road might still be washed out. You might want to check on it. I think the best way it to go via loop road. Jeanne
