Permablitz: Paper Street Homestead Northampton

Part 3 of the Backyard Homestead Workshop everyone is welcome to join us to install phase 1 of the Paper Street Homestead. Based on design ideas from the backyard homestead design workshop held in May we will permablitz install the first phase of a permaculture design including the following elements:

A rain garden with multifunctional plants to slow spread and sink water into the landscape

Permeable pathways to infiltrate water and define and redefine entryways

A raised kitchen garden bed in zone 1

A second layer to a privacy screen/air filter

    Even though my hubby and I were not there for the first classes, we wish we could have been, but we still enjoyed working with this group and learning all that you guys taught us while doing the project. A big thanks for the hostesses and their lovely lunch! Wish we could get Lisa up here to look at our yard and how we could improve it?
