January will be an Un-Meetup

THE NEW YEAR

The snow will be flying,

we've all gained a few.

Our wallets are empty,

no making merry;I think in lieu

we should clean up the mess

from holiday presents and boxes and bows and food

and cat fur and dog fur and maybe a mink?

Ha! We sometimes don't get as much as we think.

But the New Year is time for resolutions and diets;

And just in a month we will have forgotten the riots

of friends, and family, and eating too much -

and I hope we'll be ready for February brunch!

Happy Holidays and New Year to each one of you;

I'm glad that we're friends, I hope you are too.

    I guess this is your way of saying that no meetup lunch will be scheduled? This was so cute.
