Let's get together and help each other become better writers. As soon as possible prior to the meeting, email your submission to Phyl ([masked]), and on Wednesday or Thursday prior to the meeting, I will email all submissions to everyone who has RSVP'd yes. Then, at the meeting, we can share our praise and pointers.
1. Please try to limit submission to 7 double-spaced pages or less. Include your name, title, and page # on each page in the footer area. List any specific questions you would like group members to answer at the beginning of your work.
2. If you can't read all of the submissions, that's ok. Read what you can in the genres you are comfortable with, bring printed copies of your feedback to the meeting, and don't feel bad about what you can't read and give feedback on. This group is very flexible and welcoming, and we do not want that to change.
Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend--you don't have to be "Super Critiquer" to come to a meeting, although some feedback tips have been uploaded to: http://www.meetup.com/Western-Suburbs-Writers-Group/files/
Keep in mind that there are no hard-and-fast rules, save one: Do your best and don't feel guilty about what you cannot reasonably do. The writing group should be enjoyable. If it turns into a chore, I'm not doing my job as group leader.
