LDT RIDE: CALAVERAS
Enjoy this scenic route along the Calaveras Reservoir, with eagles and maybe some other exciting wildlife. All routes climb Calaveras then descend into Pleasanton for lunch at High Tech Burrito. B’s start at Ed Levin Park and quickly climb, while the C’s get a warmup from Milpitas on Calaveras Road. D’s and E’s enjoy a gorgeous climb up Sierra Road and E’s add an additional climb up Welch Creek. All routes return from Pleasanton via Calaveras Road along the reservoir. Rain cancels.

There are 2 locations:
B’s meet in the gravel parking lot just beyond the entrance to Ed Levin County Park near Milpitas. Continue east on Calaveras Road 2.5 miles from I-680. The parking lot is on the left side of the street, one tenth of a mile past the park entrance.
C’s, D’s, and E’s meet in the shopping mall parking lot at the southwest corner of Landess Ave. and Morrill Ave. in the Northwood Plaza Shopping Center in Milpitas (2155 Morill Ave, San Jose). Meet at the side of the lot next to Landess, near Target. Directions: 237 East to 880 South, exit Montague East, continue on Landess, R on Morrill, R into center.
