Palisade fruit and wine loop :o) all the way around!!!

Let's go ride our Road bikes ~~~~

I am thinking the whole loop or maybe one or two short cuts. Might be fun to checkout some of the local establishments on the way if you think you have time.

I would like everyone to be comfortable riding 12 to 15 MPH. you can check the "map" below for mileages. We are going to earn our dinner tonight. I might need to make reservations so i will need to know how many want to eat at Inari's.

Bring:

  • Obviously your bike
  • HELMET REQUIRED on WSA rides
  • Spare tube and repair stuff (if you have it)
  • Clear, yellow or other glasses for bugs as much as for sun. $8-18 safety glasses at places like Home Depot are great for biking.
  • Water in bottles or hydration pack
  • Quick energy snacks
  • Dry shirt in the car for after the ride
  • A few $$$ in case we decide to stop or go out after

We may repeat this event every Wednesday (or another night) and see if we can get some interest in wed night rides on some of the different rides in the valley.

If we get enough interest we can expand it to other areas not so close on the weekends.

Ok, the 30 mile loop turned out to be 19 miles but it still was in 100+ degrees of heat, we average 13.4 MPH and it took us a little over two hours to complete. We had quite a few no shows, and I understand not wanting to go under those circumstances but it would still be nice to let us know. Of the nine that did show what a great ride we all had a great time, Thanks for coming on this ride with me! Thanks for being the tough ones and completing this century ride (100 degrees), Thanks David for coming up with that.

I made it all the way around! Yeah! Now I just need an ice pack, hand cream, and some Advil ( cause I was fresh out of green barley) ;)

Not sure about the park, is it the Veteran's Park? Yes, will plan to eat at Inari's after the ride.

OK Mike, now I know why they are calling it the "fruit" and wine tour, or is that the "fruitcake" and wine tour. No pushing now....ahhhhh!
