No Thoroughfare provides a canyon experience and contains more than nine miles of winding sandstone walls, intermixed with two prominent Pre-cambrian age waterfalls.
This trail also holds the title of being the Colorado National Monument’s longest canyon. No Thoroughfare measures approximately eight and a half miles (one-way)and provides a primeval experience.
Today's hike will be an out and back and will be approx. 6 miles with a 600' elevation gain.
This hike is rated by the gj hikes guy as moderate due to some steep sections.
We will be hiking along the frozen stream bed to the 1st pool then to the 1st waterfall so make sure you wear some ice grippers like YakTrax or Kahtoola Micro-spikes &/or bring your hiking poles.
What To Bring:
