Round Trip: 7 mile loop trail; difficulty: moderate; elevation:[masked] feet; time: 4 hrs.; facilities: vault toilet at trailhead. The highest point of the trail is about 5245 feet just before you reach the cabin. At one time the cabin served as a line shack for cowboys that ran cattle in the area. The rustic atmosphere and natural setting of the cabin brings you back to stories of the Old West.
