Hike To Rattlesnake Arches and Climb The Last Arch - Cedar Arch aka Rainbow Arch

PLEASE ONLY RESPOND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND. NO DOGS! I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE AND DON'T WANT TO OFFEND ANYONE. HOWEVER, THIS IS A LENGTHY & RIGOROUS HIKE SO ONLY THOSE WHO ARE APPROVED BY ME CAN ATTEND. I AM LIMITING THIS HIKE TO 8 PEOPLE WITH NO GUESTS.

This is an AWESOME hike! I hiked this on Sunday, March 30, 2014, with a friend and it took us 9 hours. We hiked a little under 15 miles with a climb up the last arch (Cedar Arch aka Rainbow Arch).

This will be a fast-paced hike (due to the limited daylight hours). We will - of course- take breaks and will take time out to enjoy the sights - and of course PLAY in the arches area. The wildflowers are already in abundance. Even the claret cup cacti are budding.

Terrific pictures! Donna, you snapped all kinds of cool flora and fauna. Now's the time to be out on the red rocks!

Have fun! We already have plans to bike in Fruita that day if anyone wants to join that can't make the hike!

Great hike! I won't be able to make it, but wanted to say it was really neat when we did it in Nov of 2012. And some people brought some ropes to help those who weren't too sure of themselves getting up through that Rainbow arch (me being one of them) and that was great. And then - and I won't ever forget this - this young kid (not part of our group) just walked right UP it in his Converse-type sneaks! I was like, "You little $#*+!" It was too funny!
