Climate Change -- a 4-panelist discussion at Mesa County Central Library

Climate Change - local impacts in western Colorado

This is not a WSA organized or sponsored event. It is posted here to let members know about this opportunity to hear local experts talk about local effects of climate change on the Grand Valley. Discussion will cover such topics as geology,  forests, water resources and agriculture. Those all sound 'outdoorsy' and since we are an outdoor recreation group, I thought some of our members might want to attend.

Starts at 5:30 PM at the Central Library. I suggest arriving by 5 PM or shortly after if you want to get a seat.

I expect the room will be packed so I suggest arriving early and if you know of other WSA members you want to sit with, see if you can save some seats.

Thought-provoking speakers with sometimes differing perspectives on this critical topic. Chris's call to action by each one of us rang true.

It was good to see a large crowd turn out for the event. I'll have to add "Plan C" by Pat Murphy to my reading queue.

I do not know that the speakers were riveting or the topic spell binding but . . . their different perspectives were appreciated. Interesting information and a good call to action by Chris at the end.

Chris J's talk should be practical and she's a good speaker! (plus a Great Old Broad member)
