Hi! I am a second grade teacher who loves to go on great adventures! My reliable hiking buddies live in other cities and I need to find locals to hike with and enjoy the beauty of our area!

Where on the Western Slope do you live? how long have you been there? Where did you come here from? How did you learn about the WSA group and why did you join? Do you plan to be an "Active" member or is WSA just one more web registration for you?

I live in Grand Junction where I have resided for 13 years. Before that, I lived in NYC for 17 years. I learned about WSA from the Hike and Bike group.

How and about what time in life did you get started with outdoor recreation? What are a few of your favorite outdoor activities?

I enjoy climbing 14ers, hiking and running.

What is the most challenging hike, bike, backpack, 14er, canyoneering, ski/snowshoe, river trip or other outing you've ever done? How or why was that; and, would you do that or something similar again?

I am not familiar enough with the group to know for sure!

Where is the most scenic place you have ever slept in a tent, walked or biked on a trail or travelled by paddle or oar down a river?

I am available for activities some evenings, weekends, all school vacations and all summer.

After you've been on a few events with us, what kind of event might you be willing to to initiate and share with fellow WSA adventurers? Organize a hike? road or mtn bike ride? an evening on the river? a ski or snowshoe on Grand Mesa? Or... ?

???...would describe it perfectly!

Headed to the river on Easter Sunday - come on along. No boat - don't worry rafters will most likely need paddlers.

When do you want to snowshoe the 14er and what are the details - where to stay the night before? How long a drive? How tough a hike? Miles? Elevation gain? S-U-R-E let's get YOUR 14er on the WSA calendar. Call me [masked]

Hi Camille, welcome to WSA! I'm also a teacher, in Montrose, and looking for outdoorsy people to explore Colorado with. Hopefully I'll see you on a trip sometime in the near future!

Hi Camille, welcome to Grand Junction Hike-N-Bike! Hmmm, hiking & trail-running & snowshoeing ... yup, you're in the right place! I'd really be interested in talking to you about your having done the whole "No Throw" trail, as I've only gone up to the second waterfall. A BLM told me just a few days ago that they've done a lot of work on the upper part.
