Where on the Western Slope do you live? how long have you been there? Where did you come here from? How did you learn about the WSA group and why did you join? Do you plan to be an "Active" member or is WSA just one more web registration for you?
I've lived in Grand Junction for four years - moved to the land of mesas for a job in river restoration. Before this, I was living on a ranch in West Texas, working with private landowners on a restoration project along the Nueces and Sabinal Rivers. Learned about WSA during a hike up Liberty Bell.
How and about what time in life did you get started with outdoor recreation? What are a few of your favorite outdoor activities?
Growing up in Texas, I spent a lot of time hunting and fishing. Since moving to Colorado, I've picked up skiing, mountain biking, and hiking.
What is the most challenging hike, bike, backpack, 14er, canyoneering, ski/snowshoe, river trip or other outing you've ever done? How or why was that; and, would you do that or something similar again?
Getting stuck on the San Rafael River at 8 cfs, oof don't ask.
Where is the most scenic place you have ever slept in a tent, walked or biked on a trail or travelled by paddle or oar down a river?
