Where on the Western Slope do you live? how long have you been there? Where did you come here from? How did you learn about the WSA group and why did you join? Do you plan to be an "Active" member or is WSA just one more web registration for you?
Grand Junction, CO. I have spent the last couple summers in Grand Junction and have made the big move here in March of 2013. I learned about WSA via MeetUps.
How and about what time in life did you get started with outdoor recreation? What are a few of your favorite outdoor activities?
Hiking, running, biking, being on the river, and drawing.
What is the most challenging hike, bike, backpack, 14er, canyoneering, ski/snowshoe, river trip or other outing you've ever done? How or why was that; and, would you do that or something similar again?
A local wildlife presentation, wine, talks about special area history, and travel interest me.
Where is the most scenic place you have ever slept in a tent, walked or biked on a trail or travelled by paddle or oar down a river?
It's difficult to say as there are just for many beautiful, scenic places about here but if I must say... kayaking the Colorado through Moab, walking the Medieval city of Eza, France, camping any number of places in Colorado!
After you've been on a few events with us, what kind of event might you be willing to to initiate and share with fellow WSA adventurers? Organize a hike? road or mtn bike ride? an evening on the river? a ski or snowshoe on Grand Mesa? Or... ?
I will have to think about this one and get back to you.
I moved to Grand Junction in 2013. I love the area and all it has to offer. Special areas of interest include: art, theatre, food, hiking, the great outdoors, and laughing.
