WNIA General meeting

There are two scheduled speakers for the June 5 meeting. Greg Bernstein, States Attorney for Baltimore City will be the first speaker and a representative of Royal Farms Stores will be the second.

If you have questions about the criminal justice system in Baltimore Mr Bernstein is the person to ask.

If you have questions or comments about the proposed Royal Farm store at Harford and Glenmore (opposite the Hamilton Library) the meeting is a chance to get them answered.

Join or login to comment.

It was decided that we would oppose the Royal Farms store, so it's time to get crackin' with actions! :-) Let's gooooooooooo! Chaaaaaaaaaaarge!

It was great to see such a large turnout and see people so concerned about the the neighborhood and the businesses that are trying to build nearby. I just hope that just as many people show up to the hearing for Royal Farms. I hope that our community continues to grow and more people become involved. Great things can happen if we meet, communicate and get involved in community efforts!

Mr Bernstein's presentation was very interesting, really making progress over the past state's attorney. Some residents were a bit rude in putting unfair blame on him for matters not under his purview.

The Royal farms presentation brought up questions rather than answers. may have helped if attendees had an introductory brief--when community first found out about it and what has the organization done since to mitigate the negatives----including actions to stop it from moving forward. unbelievable that there was apparently no knowledge by the site designers of the existing conditions nor any kind of traffic analysis. unknown as to why city would allow design to proceed without these basic considerations--seems inefficient. does WNIA have a sergeant-at-arms? need one to keep order. too much calling/shouting out comments and questions. at beginning of discussions, people need to be reminded to raise hand if want to speak and be allowed to do so in a logical order.
