A 'Girlfriends' group for women 25+ to get together for monthly Bunco games nights, and more often for social events! Lunches, dinner, potluck, movies, plays, pontoons, and parks. If you don't know how to play Bunco, it's very easy to learn. I want Ladies to join who are interested in building long term friendships. There will be an annual fee of $8.00 be a part of our group (to begin when your 6 month renewal comes due for current members already paid, and for new members after your free trial period ends). This helps offset the cost of the meetup website and equipment, Organizers time, incidentals and supplies.
We will have a monthly game. The location will be determined at each game for the following month. Everyone who joins this group is required to be a hostess and Pick Their Theme. You are responsible for game space for 12 or more players, plates, napkins, utensils, water, coffee and ice. This can be hosted at your house, a Friend's house or a gathering place that allows for us to play our game and bring food and drinks.
We have a buffet style dinner for which we ask everyone to bring a dish, keeping with the theme, if the hostess has chosen one. Please sign up or leave a message in the comments as to what you will be bringing on game night, so we don't Run into having duplicates! The evening will run from about 6:30 to 9:30pm, with ladies showing up from 6:15 - 6:30, dinner 6:30 to 6:55 and games begin at 7:00pm. Prizes drawn at approx. 9:15 pm. Everyone helps with clean-up.
$7.00 due in cash at each game to cover prize fund, plus $1.00 "I Love Bunco" pot fee. Prizes awarded to winners each game, in the form or cash or equal value in gifts, to be determined by the hostess.
Games are scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday or Wednesday evening each month. In some cases the hostess will ask for a different night. This can be discussed.
Prizes are given out for Most Wins, Most Buncos, Most Mini Buncos, Most Losses, and Mascott. Our Mascott is a (TBD) . Each time some gets a Bunco, they yell loudly and the Mascot is thrown to them. Whoever is holding (Mascott's name) at the end of the game wins the Mascott Prize. We play with 8, 12, or 16 players. 1 or 2 over this number are alternates and will plan to attend, hang out and play for those who can't make it. 3 over and we play with a "ghost" player. No more than 1 ghost player per game - period! (standard Bunco rules, keeps it fair and consistent to all ;-)
Our no show policy is as follows: If you RSVP yes and do not show up or cancel the day of the event two times, you will be dropped from the group. A cancellation on the date of the event is the same as a no show. Please be courteous to the hostesses who have put a lot of effort into opening their homes and preparing for the Bunco. If a hostess has the need to cancel, please make sure to do so as soon as possible so that people traveling to the Bunco are notified in enough time. Please change any details for the night by the Sunday before the Bunco. Thanks for your consideration of others.
I am really looking forward to meeting new Ladies who love to play the game!
