Christian/atheist debate (session 2 of 2)

Event: Christian/atheist discussion
Cost: Free
Date: Sun. [masked]
Time: 9 am and 10:45 am church services (two sessions to choose from, or attend both!)
Place: Portland Community Church.  While waiting for their building to be completed, they meet here:
     Whitford Middle School
     7935 SW Scholls Ferry Rd.
     Beaverton, OR 97008
Google Map

A panel of two Christians and two atheists will discuss these two topics:
1. Is there evidence for the existence of God?
2. Did humans evolve from other animals?
... plus, audience Q&A time.

Christians: Pastor Ron Kincaid and Dr. Bart Rask
Atheists: Truman Ardent Smith & Chris Heiler

Note: The general public is invited, whether a believer or not.  But this is part of a church service so there will be some church activity (hymn singing, collection plate, etc.).  This is an upfront warning so people won't be surprised.

1. Ron Kincaid is Pastor of Portland Community Church
2. Bart Rask is author of the book "Evolution By Affirming the Consequent: Scientific Challenges to Darwin's Theory of Evolution"
3. Truman Ardent Smith is author of the booklet "Modern Science and Philosophy Destroys Christian Theology"

I agree, this was a very interesting and well run debate. The Q&A session was unfortunately too short to get into even a sampler of presented statements.

Awesome, about 250 people for both services, total.

Always interesting to hear contrasting opinions on topics like this. Too bad the discussion was so short. Would have preferred a format allowing for more dialogue with the audience.
