Abstract, from Bernie: "There's a very important saying for people who value critical thinking: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."  Not only do Christians claim that Jesus rose from the grave, but there's a whole lot of baggage that is bundled with that claim: that Jesus is now alive and ruling from Heaven, "sitting at the right hand of God;" and that Jesus IS God and existed prior to his birth on Earth.  Not only is the doctrine incomprehensible nonsense, there's no good evidence for it.  If you believe this simply on documented claims and hearsay, then you could believe any competing religious claims that are made in a similar vein, such as Mohammad splitting the moon into two and then rejoining it (Quran 54:1-30), which would have many witnesses.[1]   The story of Jesus rising from the grave is simply Christian mythology; comparable to Mormon mythology, Muslim mythology, Hindu mythology, Greek mythology, etc. "

Abstract, from Rick: “While I highly respect Bernie’s sincere belief that Jesus did not rise from the dead, my critical thinking skills along with science; faith, based not on a feeling but on fact; history, and my personal experience of the Holy Spirit all persuade me that ‘Christ the Lord is risen today.’ Indeed, look at the multitudinous fulfilled prophecies regarding Christ, see the mathematical impossibility of random chance for a cell on a hand to exist let alone all the other interconnected factors from the functions of fingers though atmospheric balance to gravitational pull of the sun upholding us, note the overwhelming witness of the apostles willing to die, not for a belief but an event they witnessed let alone historic verification, and, hopefully, behold your life lived by the same Spirit that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead dwelling in you.”

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
