Parents' Night Out on Saturday!

Fellow Dungeoneers,

We return this Saturday to a paludal mystery in Dungeons & Dragons: what is that creepy living creature under the murky waters of the swamp just north of town?  Evidently the marshes and bayous concealed in that vast forest are the residences of some truly eerie, even terrorizing, beasts.  And they are not even the biggest enemy who must be faced down.  THAT enemy is....

... to be hunted down this Saturday at Dungeons & Dragons at Night Out!

While expert role-playing warriors face off against the marsh monster, more physical combatants will square off in Manhunt in the gym.   We look forward to the first weekend down the road when we get to take Manhunt outdoors, but it's still a bit too cold for that, so we'll warm up for that indoors this time.  Manhunt is our featured activity and will grant credits to winners of three rounds or more.

Pizza and drinks will be served.   Pre-registration for kids age 6 and up at http://www.nesacademy.com/?page=events&id=1.

No swamp can be left unturned.  All Elves, Dragonborns, and other races welcome.  See you Saturday!

    Fellow Dungeoneers and Manhunt Warriors,

An extensive, complicated, and difficult combat against GIANT PALUDAL ANTS consumed most of the D&D campaign this Night Out. By the time the exhausted warriors emerged, we had taken a few scratches but come out fairly unscathed, and distributed a generous supply of Experience Points and gone home. Now we'll divide up the enormous number of campaigners into smaller groups and see the combats come much quicker and more furiously. This Mage is going to be a tough customer to handle!

Meanwhile, we FINALLY had a full serious of rounds of Manhunt downstairs! Thanks to Andrew and Matt for a great time downstairs in the gym, and Scott for coming up with a new character to join in our campaign upstairs. Night Out has turned martial!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
