Mt Juliet, by my reckoning and in no particular order, is known for its conservative politics, its fireworks tents, and for generally being Not-Nashville. And the fact there's a traffic jam every day where I-40 narrows down to two lanes.
Mt. Juliet is also known for hosting just about every corporate chain restaurant known to man within a 1 mile radius of Exit 226.
Still there are a handful of locally-owned places totally worth checking out, and I think this is one of them. I've been to both locations (the other is in Smyrna) and think they have some flavors going that should make them among the top places for Mex in these particular areas.
They don't have a website, but there is a Facebook page.
ps - happy hour all day.
pps- the Google map puts the location on the highway. The actual location is in the strip mall just past and across the street from Hampton Suites.
