Vietnamese in Antioch (finally): Binh Minh

Warm your belly before that long drive to wherever you may be going. Join me for some pre-holiday pho before you head out of town! There's a new Vietnamese restaurant in Antioch (finally) - Binh Minh located where Shabu Shabu House used to be.

The portions were very generous and prices very reasonable. The bahn mi was very tasty and the bread super crunchy (the way I like it). The pho was great and the owner very nice and genuinely wants to make this place a success. He has done a lot of work on the interior and hopes to do more over time.

I am attaching the 2 page menu to the "More/Files" section. Open every day except Mondays.

If you can't go with me, please check this place out if you get a chance.

Address: 945 Richards Rd, Antioch, TN 37013

In the shopping center at the intersect of Antioch Pike & Richards Rd. The shopping center across from the Food Lion. Near I-24 at Haywood Lane/Antioch Pk.

This is going to be a big group today. The pho eaters will get their food first. The two people who ordered the Vietnamese pancakes were the last to be served but said it was worth it. They did not have chicken pho last time but there are plenty of other chicken options. If you don't eat pork and want to order the fresh spring rolls, make sure to tell them (they come with shrimp & pork). Same goes for those with nut allergies - the dipping sauce comes with crushed peanuts on top (they will leave them off).

Lisa, sorry I dropped you off the list. I was trying to update someone else's RSVP. I added you back. Doing it from my phone is challenging.

Reminder about tomorrow's lunch Meetup. If you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP so those on the wait list have time to plan ahead. Thank you!

Need to paint the new house, so I'll let someone else grab a spot.

There are 4 spots open for the 14th for dinner. My Vietnamese friend is going tonight with his kids. I am waiting his feedback.

I find food a very subjective thing.

I just added 4 more spots. I may add a few more, but need to talk to the owner again to see how many he is willing to accommodate a large group all at once. We will need to do multiple tables of 8-10 so they don't have to shift too many tables around for us. The place is huge, but I don't want to overwhelm them. We may be able to squeeze in EVERYONE so please be patient. I would love to give them the business but I want to make sure they are prepared for us.

I had dinner here again tonight. The restaurant was empty. The food is excellent but news of this place is going to have to spread by word of mouth since I doubt the owner can afford to properly advertise. The owner was really excited when I asked to bring in 16 people on the 21st.

I've been twice now and every time they deliver the pho to my table I say out loud, "This smells so good". The broth is VERY aromatic and tasty. I ate so much I didn't feel good but I wanted to keep eating. It was a battle!

I'm thinking of scheduling a dinner for next Saturday - the 14th. Maybe around 5-6pm for anyone who wants to change their attendance date and/or for those on the wait list. I may be scheduling several meetups here over the next few weeks but only because I want everyone to get a chance to try and attempt to promote a much needed Vietnamese restaurant in Antioch.

Lunch would work better for me since it gets dark so early and Antioch is a little far for me...
