SCORE! I have been waiting for them to be in the market kitchen again.

The Tamale Pot is the reason I love tamales after 3+ decades of not liking them. I had them with my brother at the Farmers Market when he visited last summer. YUM! I became a convert instantly!

FYI: You can buy them frozen and take them home for future meals. And don't forget to pick up some Professor Bailey's Spicy Pimento Cheese & Biscuits...

There's no limit since there's plenty of seating in the market.

You have your choice of restaurants: The Tamale Pot will be servicing the "Grow Local Kitchen" in the front of the house. There is also AM@FM, Green Asia, Swagruha Indian, Chicago Gyro, B&C Market BBQ, El Burrito Mexican, Bella Nashville (wood fired pizza), The Original Nooley's (Cajun) and now Wild & Local serves a few lunch items including lobster rolls, ceviche, prime rib panini and duck leg Caesar salad. JamaicaWay is closed on Saturdays but I think we can find something to satisfy your appetite...

Save room for dessert and coffee, there's also Buttercake Babe's and Randy's Famous Cheesecake. And if you're not in a hurry, lots of great conversation. And walk it off through the market, pick up some veggies and shop Shreeji's International Market.

Hey just passing this on, I had some pretty good Cajun tamales at this place and they serve them all the time!

I just got a message from the "elusive" Tamale Pot. They want to know how many may want frozen tamales to take home - chicken, beef or pork. They will try to have on hand for those who want them. Message me and let me know how many and what type.

They have a veggie option too. The sooner you let me know, the better! I am setting the deadline for pre-orders for the 4th. So if you want frozen to take home, please email me [masked] - specify type & quantity since these are made and frozen fresh. They also have variety meat packs if you want a mix (please specify).

Check out the list of merchants, there are several who are only there on Saturdays - I'm excited: http://nashvillefarmersmarket.org/merchants/market_house

I call these people the ghost tamales, they never answer emails, never answer the telephone or return messages and if you look at their website there is no contact information or how order anything. There product is good but a bit overpriced yet it seems they are the only game in town. If anyone know of another great tamale in Nashville that is cajun spiced that is more open to trying retain customers I would appreciate the contact information.

They responded to someone else on FB and asked them to contact this email to arrange a pickup: [masked] Good luck!
