While we continue to wait for a certain Dim Sum restaurant to straighten out their kinks, I've been hearing some awfully good things about a strip mall restaurant in Madison/Rivergate — China Cottage. Actually, one of our members tipped me off to it when we were at Taj the other day.
I went in this afternoon to scope it out and my preliminary assessment is .. delicious.
The appetizers and soups are pretty standard to what you see on the average menu. There is no buffet; the chef's specials entrée portions are "family size" that can serve 2-3 and are priced at about $11-$14. Standard dishes go for about $9 I think.
The website is down at the moment, but when it's back up you can get a detailed look at the menu. In the meantime, City Search has this: http://www.citysearch.com/profile/menu/9304664
One thing amused me: There wasn't a pair of chopsticks in sight.
