This is Food Truck Month: Let's "Eat the Street!"

May is "Street Food Month", who knew? I love food trucks and when you get them all in one place, I am especially happy. There will be 40+ food trucks in attendance. That's a lot of trucks. I know most take credit cards, but bring some cash to be safe!

If you work (I do) or live in Franklin, this event is perfect for you. I hear it's a lot of fun. And even if you don't live or work here, but willing to drive for some food & fun, look for me. I plan to be here by 5:30-6p. There is a free garage on the square. Be willing to walk a little or a lot. Be willing to eat a little or a lot!

We ate at the grilled cheeserie, crepe a diem, and bao down. They were all great.

Amazing selection of food trucks! Better than the downtown Nashville summer events, for sure.

Crowded but fun. Thanks to those who made it. It was great to meet newcomers Bob, Peggy (wife) and daughter Sara and Shelly's friend Jenny (briefly until we lost them) and Jim's friend John. I look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

We also ran into Lindy and Toumie, along with Justin and friend, and Wanda made it out, too.

Looks like I'll be working late tonight. I'll miss you guys, but I'm grateful to be busy! Have fun!!!

Looks like a great night with nice temperatures for overeating. Once again, Nashville is in a bubble with the rain to the east and northwest of us, so we should be dry until late late tonight.

I will pass on the Friday rush hour to Franklin and have more room for taco's washed down with margaritas tomorrow. I'll make due with libations and apps at the new Sams Sports Bar close to home at Black Jack Cove Marina tonight. I think you all have a pretty good chance of staying dry tonight. Let me know if anyone survives the Bacon Nation truck.

I checked out the Bacon Nation FB page. Lo and behold someone from here has already liked their page! According to the page they are doing a private event tonight, so no bacon for you!

Any potential need for change in plans due to the weather? I'm indoors with no windows all day so not sure how bad or not bad it really is.

    May 9

    • James Q

I'd give us a 95% chance of not getting soaked tonight. In any case, we are supposed to be ADVENTUROUS foodies!

I think the last update in the festivals FB page is dry this afternoon but more rain LATE tonight.

I decided to stay home with the weather. I rather not be walking out in the rain.

Been out of the house almost every night this week. Snowball is crying for me. Will be with her tonight.

So there is no map for me to view the exact set up for the event. I know everyone will be arriving a various times and I don't want to stand in one spot for an hour. Best suggestion is call or text me[masked] when you arrive to find out where I am.

    • Rose L.

I should be there by 5:30 ish since I work in Franklin.

  • James Q

Are we meeting at a particular spot at 5:30ish?

    May 8

    • Rose L.

I just gave everyone my # to find me since I'm not sure the exact layout. Will check the website when I get home and see if there's a map. I plan to be there by 5:30.

Do we need to purchase tickets, and if so, ahead of time?

    May 1

    • Rose L.

This is free event. Just buy your food from the vendor of your choice. Most take debit/credit cards.

      May 1

    • Rose L.

Bring cash, just in case but the majority do accept cards. I think there is even free parking downtown. There is a garage just off the square and I've always parked there for free.

They were just here in the downtown area today on Deaderick Street and most all had long lines showing how popular they were. We had Bacon Nation and was not disappointed! Downtown Franklin would be cool.
