Introduction

While I love telling personal stories to adult audiences, my passion is in helping middle school students develop the art of oral narrative by creating sky lore based on their understanding of contemporary astronomy. We call it StarryTelling.

Are you a professional teller or a teller for fun?

I am a professional teller. I tell stories at elder care facilities and facilitate workshops in local schools.

What do you want to accomplish by joining the group?

I want more time to practice, fine tune, and prune my stories in front of a group before I tell to the public. I want to learn to use my body and voice more effectively.

What is your preferred group size?

I think 8 is a good size for a 1 hour meetup. If we have more we can break into smaller groups. That way everyone has a chance to tell as well as to get feedback.

Are you willing to just listen when there is not time to hear everyone's story?

Yes! I learn more that way.

Which days of the week and times of day are most convenient for you to ensure your participation?

Friday and Saturday evenings. Sunday PM But am open to other days of the week.
