Appreciate Yourself!

We are so quick to praise others, see their attributes and even attempt to emulate them.  As for ourselves we are also quick to find fault, be overly critical, impatient and generally unhappy with our performance in this life.  Coulda, shoulda done it better!  We strive to correct this seeking ways to rectify and rebuild our self.  Maybe, just maybe if we instead appreciated our self, our uniqueness, we would discover something very special about our self!  Something unusual, powerful and extraordinary that contributes to all life.  Instead of trying to be like others, contribute through our difference, bringing answers and joy to this changing world.  This is a time of realizing that deep inside lies a wonderful unique being that is ready to be born.  May we all discover and appreciate that which is our true self!!

Sorry I didn't make it. I missed you all. I could have used the support. I had to put my dog down yesterday afternoon and just wasn't up for the drive. And didn't want to be a bummer.

I could really benefit from this group, but I do have classes Tues. night. If there's any chance you would ever do an alternate evening, I would so be there!

I didn't know what to expect from the group or myself. I thought it went quite well. I don't often get out of my small comfortable world and meet new people. It felt very open and easy. Thank you for providing this opportunity.

Should we be jealous ahead of time? You should have stayed a few more days, maybe you could have missed what will hopefully be the last snow storm of the season on Thurs... =)

I have been pondering the matter of connection with others, which we discussed at some length at our last meeting. I would like to share some relevant blog entries, one written by a woman I know in answer to the question "What does connection feel like to you?" which blew me away, and one that I wrote. I think it could be interesting fodder for discussion. Especially because in order to truly connect with another person you must first love (or appreciate) yourself. http://adiaryofamom.wordpress.com/2014/03/04/what-is-it-like/

Yes, I think they are very relevant indeed, especially if I may say so the second one. Looking forward to meeting everyone and having wonderful conversations with you all!

    Happy March!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
