2012 California's Artisan Cheese Festival in Petaluma

This festival is the big one in the cheese world.  If you want to meet the cheesemakers, taste the cheeses, learn home cheesemaking, take tours of local creameries---this is the time and place for it.  The California cheese world is out in force, and right in our backyard.  Many tours are already sold out, and the public cheese tasting sessions tend to sell out as well.  Events occur for three days from Friday, March 23 through Sunday, March 25.

Events schedule here: http://artisancheesefestival.com/schedule.html

We won't have a Wheyward Bound meetup during the festival, but encourage members to attend on their own and perhaps bump into eachother in the crowd.  Beverage People will be there Saturday and Sunday.  Bob will be teaching cheesemaking on Saturday, and we will have a booth selling supplies and talking up the hobby on Sunday.  Please stop by to see us!

Way too crowded! The opportunity to pay justice to the cheeses and wines was extremely limited due to the crowed condition. Aisles too narrow, event needed twice the space. Uncomfortable trying to elbow ones way through. Many missed vendors. For $45 I expected a better experience.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
