Recipe for rosemary + wine crackers from Aug. meeting

Rosemary Wine Crackers

1 cup flour
2 T rosemary
1/2 t salt
1/8 t pepper (or up to 1/4 t)
3 T cabernet wine (or other red wine)
2 T olive oil
Kosher salt (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, rosemary, salt and pepper.
2. Combine wine, and oil in a mixing cup or small bowl.
Gradually add wine mixture to flour mixture using a fork. Form dough into a ball.
3.On a lightly floured surface, roll dough in a rectangle until 1/8 inch thick. Prick dough all over with a fork. Using a pastry wheel, cut into 3 x 1 1/2 inch crackers. Transfer to ungreased baking sheet, sprinkle with Kosher salt (optional) and bake about 18 min or until just start to brown. Cool on wire rack.

Yield; about 24 crackers
