For those who haven't heard yet, Daphne Zepos passed away 2 days ago.
I had the pleasure of meeting her while taking the College of Marin Cheesemaking Certification Program. I was amazed at the knowledge she had of cheese, Cheesemaking and the food industry. She was a very smart, funny and loving spirit. The whole Bay Area has lost a fantastic individual who left an amazing legacy to the cheese industry. She was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Cheese Society. It was an honor to know you even if it was only a short while, Daphne, you will be missed.
