I look forward to meeting like-minded people here on the island. I believe the more we let each other know that we are out here, the more people will feel comfortable openly living as atheists in our community.
As a librarian, one learns very quickly to be tolerant and work with people from all walks of life - with a smile! I may mutter and grumble inwardly and rant out loud to my husband, but otherwise I really dislike confrontation.
Good question. Hard to answer at this early stage...
Greetings from the north end of the island, where it sometimes seems my family is floating on a tiny raft of atheism in a sea of religiousity. I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with my husband, son, and dog on this lovely island!
I really enjoyed meeting everybody and am looking forward to future meetups and activities. So great to have a group like this on Whidbey!
