Explorers Event: LES

  • Dec 14, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Part of what I've come to love about whiskey is all the wonderful, unusual, old and new places, where you can alight upon a bar stool and explore the many shades of amber in the graceful curve of a glass.

One of the types of events I’m going to try and do is arrange for the exploration of shiny, spanking new places.  Bars with no history other than the one we make.

Isn't that an idea as delicious as Pappy served neat?

I think it is.

We’ll go with no expectations and an open mind as to what each new spot can offer.

Here’s a description of this new place, care of UrbanDaddy, “Two guys with glorious beards are running this operation. You’ll see ’em. Both dated a muse named... yes, Rochelle. In her honor, they've created a place to drink whiskey. A place with arched wood ceilings and marble tables and antique mirrors and... tons of whiskey.”

And here’s what it looks like:

You thirsty now? Sure you are.

Let’s make some good memories, shall we?

Awesome event glad I braved the weather to come through. I smell a new meet up group dedicated to Sir Kensington.

Ha! I was eating fries and lamenting the lack of our regal friend.

Another great night...minus the horrendous weather. I can't believe I met Matt Damon's brother! Looking forward to the next event, now on to ordering some Sir Kensington!

Not a priced event! This is an "Explores" event. We expect and assume nothing. We go just for the experience and fun of checking out the unknown. Cheers!

How much is this event for?

Their website is pretty tame. no pics of the interior of the place, no whiskey list. The one pic posted here looks pretty cool, but with it being the holiday weekend and the DWI checks everywhere, Ill have to see if I'm willing to take the train into NYC.
