Old Rag Mountain is one of the most popular hikes in Shenandoah National Park, with a challenging (but really fun!) 1 mile rock scramble before you reach the peak. The views are spectacular!!! I've done this hike numerous times, and usually takes about 5 hours.
Carpool meet up will be at 8:00 am at the Centreville Park and Ride at the corner of Stone Road and Route 29. We will depart for the Old Rag Parking lot at 8:15 am. If you will not be meeting at the Centreville Park and Ride, please arrive at the Old Rag Parking Lot no later than 10:00 am. I will provide my cell phone the day before the hike.
