Announcing a new Meetup for White Plains Zen Meditation!
What: Annual Christmas Gift bags for guestsd at our Soup Kitchen.
When: Saturday, December 21,[masked]:30 PM
Where: St. Bartholomew's Church
82 Prospect St
White Plains, NY 10606
It’s hard to believe that another year has passed by, but it’s that time again to prepare and distribute the Annual St. Bartholomews Christmas Gift bags distribution for our guests at the our Soup Kitchen.
I went through the gifts items left over from last year’s Gift Distribution, as well as those we have been receiving throughout the year and to my delight we do have a lot to offer again this season, but are still short on many items. Please see the attached Excel Spreadsheets, one for clothing and the other for toiletries items. The lists identify the items we plan to give, with their quantities and sizes where it’s applies that are needed. Some as you will see have sufficient amounts but some will still need to be supplemented (see our Wish List) since we would like to have at least 40 Men’s gift bags (the majority of the group) and 5 gift bags for the woman. A lot of the toiletries are appropriate for either a man or woman.
Wish List: 1) Five (5) Men's Hooded Sweatshirts, in sizes,
Medium (4 are needed) & XL (1 are needed)
As I said before, “It takes a Village” to accomplish a task like this and I know I certainly could not have done this without all your help and generosity; I cannot thank you enough, you’re the BEST!
The distribution date for the gift bags will be Sunday, December 22nd during the soup kitchen meal.
I am planning to assemble the bags on Saturday, December 21st starting at 10:00 am hopefully completing no later than 12 Noon. Please email or call [masked]) me if you can participate with the assembly of the gift bags; the more the merrier and the quicker we can accomplish the undertaking at hand.
As an incentive, there will be Bagels and coffee for all, in appreciation for your help, hope you will be able to help out.
Thanks in advance for your help and cooperation and thanks for supporting of our soup kitchen outreach program.
