skirt around Great Sugarloaf and then cross Ballyremon Commons!

This will be an "Angela" special as she leads a group around Ireland's most distinctive mountain, Sugarloaf (505 m) and then crosses Ballyremon Commons, an area rich in archeological history. Any climbing occurs early in the walk. Wonderful views, interesting flora and fauna and not too tough!

Hi Dairine, is the meeting point reachable by public transport? Google does not seem to be aware of it. Thanks.

Hi dear Dairine.where is the kilmacanogue.

    July 26

    • Dairine Nuttall

Tegi - Kilmacanogue is the terminus for the 145 which runs from Hueston Station through the city centre and out to Kilmacanogue - could not be easier!! The bus goes every ten minutes or so but allow an hour and a quarter on Saturdays in case you meet traffic in the city centre if you are getting it near Hueston. Sugarloaf is a very distinctive mountain so you should enjoy it.

How long will the walk take.?

    July 18, 2013

    • Dairine Nuttall

I imagine it will be closer to 3 hours than 2 - Angela sets a good pace but the climb is at the start so not too tough. Hope your walk goes well tomorrow - weather should be great and am hoping the sea will be calm for us!!
