This will be an "Angela" special as she leads a group around Ireland's most distinctive mountain, Sugarloaf (505 m) and then crosses Ballyremon Commons, an area rich in archeological history. Any climbing occurs early in the walk. Wonderful views, interesting flora and fauna and not too tough!
We are a group of regular Nordic Walkers, based in North County Wicklow, close to Dublin. Nordic Walks take place on Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings at Killruddery Estate (a magnificent estate complete with "stately home" and farm of over 800 acres).
Saturday afternoon walks vary in location - usually within County Wicklow, but occasionally we travel a little. We had a weekend away in the Nire Valley in April, walking in the Comeraghs. Check out our "Upcoming Meetups and come and meet a great bunch of good walkers and great talkers who always welcome new members to the group. Please note that there is a charge of €8 per walk which includes the use of the poles.
. Easy to learn the technique, easy to talk while walking... easy going people to meet and have the craic with.
