Calling all writers! This small, private group of writers will share their love for writing and bring samples of their writing to each meeting for review/critique. The goal is to offer constructive review of writing samples and help one another perfect their manuscript, short story, novel, non-fiction piece, etc.

In addition to critiques and reviews, we will explore other areas of writing such as writing book proposals, finding literary agents, writing a magazine or newspaper query, etc.

If you are a new or previously unpublished writer, I believe this group will offer you an enormous amount of information, feedback, and more. For those already working in the writing industry, you know how helpful critiques can be. Let this group help you continue to improve your skills.

Most of all, my goal is to find some wonderful, friendly, talented writers who can come together on a regular basis and enjoy their passion for writing together. I am new to Rochester and looking to meet people with the same hobby.

Please tell me a little about yourself when you join and feel free to send a writing sample in if you like. I hope to keep the group small - under 8 people. We can always break up into smaller critique groups if we have to.

A little about me: I will try to keep this short - Born in NY, I spent many years in Florida and I have recently moved back to my home state. Except, I grew up in NYC and Long Island, so Rochester is a new experience for me! I have had over 300 published articles in the past four years and was also the editor for a South Florida newspaper. I have been featured in Glamour, KrazyCouponLady, WebMD, Christianity Today, MSNBC and more. I also teach on several writing topics and hope to share my knowledge with you. I do business and medical writing on the side, in addition to ghostwriting and book editing for clients. I also write a blog for new writers for are trying to break into the industry.
