Lithuanian Spring Picnic 2014

The Cuisine of the Baltic States is not characterized as "WILD" - just excellent!

Well, we're cordially invited to a picnic hosted by the Lithuanian-American Community of Arizona at the South Mountain Pavilion in Tumbleweed Park. The park has plenty of grassy open space, an extensive playground for children, and large, clean restrooms a short walk from the pavilion.

This is a free-to-attend cultural event!

Additionally, Hot meals, including kugelis and other Lithuanian dishes, will be $12 for ages 12 and older, but free for kids under 12. Cold refreshments including water ($1), soft drinks ($1), domestic beer ($2) and Lithuanian beer ($4) will be available at the bar. Lottery tickets supporting the organization will be 2 for $1.

To reach the park from Phoenix, take the I-10 Freeway toward Tucson and then the 202 Freeway east to McQueen Road. Exit McQueen Road going south and make a right on Germann Road and then a left on Hamilton Street. The entrance into the park's parking lot will be on the left.

I'm sorry I missed you! That's why I always post my cell #. I was looking for 12 other "Yes" RSVP's all afternoon. Did you find the Lithuanians? I found the Peruvians first & had several discussions re: the food they were serving!

Ken are you trying to have everyone meet up at the event? Bringing one of my girlfriends and she's never on time.

No, no specific time, and the picnic isn't that large. She can come anytime.

8:45 AM & I'm in Peoria... I expect to be here as close to noon as possible. C'mon by anytime. The picnic usually runs all afternoon, but the quantity of food is limited. Call me if you want:[masked]

Sorry I can't make it, have not had Lithuanian food before and it sounds like fun! Did not know about this event previously and of course the valley has everything. Look forward to another time. Have fun!
