Wild Gourmet Meal Prep Workshop ($20)

This class is mostly hands-on and experiential, learning how to use the plants that we identified on the Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk the day before. We will positively identify and gather abundant species, then take them to a private kitchen where you will learn how to prepare them into a meal. Be prepared for tastes you had no idea even existed! It has been said that every new taste prolongs your life ~ let this be an experience of longevity in the making!

Note: This workshop is being led by Sarah Murray, who has taught the edible and medicinal uses of plants in Europe and the US for the past 30 years. Her former husband, François Couplan, is the author of the Encyclopedia of the Edible Plants of North America. She was one of the first women in Europe (1980's) to lead "soft" survival trips, where wild plants made up 100% of the harvest (no animals) in week-long and 2-week-long treks into nature.

    The location has not changed, and FYI, there is a fee to use the parking lot - $3 for Delaware license plates and $6 for out of state. We had a great day looking at the plants today, and I look forward to harvesting and cooking tomorrow!

      Hi! This class is $20, to help cover the cost of the ingredients and cooking. The edible plant walk, that I will be leading on Saturday the 22nd, is $15, since there will be no cooking that day.
