Summer Wrap-up along the Rancocas

With Summer's end fast approaching on the 22d already(!) I will be hosting a follow up to the field trip I hosted back in mid-July traversing the park system along the Rancocas Creek starting in Mount Holly, NJ.
Start point will be my yard on Hickory Street in Mount Holly. A few of you remember it, but feel free to call me for directions at[masked]-9212.
I'll start off with an update of my edibles identification and harvest this season, talk about lessons learned and projects planned for the fall. I will have maps and field guides available. If you can think of anything helpful for the walk, please comment. Thanks again. Joe

Joe's yard is amazing. A little bit of everything and one of the best spiders I have ever seen in this area. The walk was a lot of fun. It was nice to learn some more about the local flora.

No problem, Matthew. We'll do a similar prowl in the Fall with the change of season. I recommend the series of talks the Rancocas Nature Center is sponsoring in Westampton, NJ. In fact there is one coming up on Sept 26 on medicinal plants I'll be attending. More details at www.rancocasnaturecenter.org

Great! Joe's yard was awesome and seeing the Rancocas area in a different season was interesting as well.

Thanks for coming out for the walk folks. The forest trail at the Rancocas nature center had an interesting array of mushrooms, chokeberries, hickory and walnuts. I enjoyed your company as well. Hope to see you soon on the trails :-D

Should we pack a lunch? Will there be a break for us to fend for ourselves or will just graze as we walk?
