Low-Impact Living focus group > Expanding out from Wild Foodies

Hi all!  I plan to start a group that focuses on low-impact living, but am a little unsure about what to call it and how to structure it.  I've been experimenting with the subject for many years.  For example, for at least 10 years I've used only food and plants for personal care and household cleaning.  And there are tons of things I don't do or buy anymore in order to lessen my footprint on the planet and make life simpler and more enjoyable.  There are also things I've learned to do that make life more fulfilling, like foraging and knitting.  Anyway, I could use your help in getting this group together, for feedback, etc..  So, this meetup is a brain storming session at my house.  Hope you can make it.

Lynn, the first meeting was very interesting and helpful. When and where will the next meeting be?

Darn, I meant to go to this and I missed it. Sorry! Hope you do more like it. I'm very interested, just fudged my appointment book--I must have missed writing it down. My loss.

Lynn, apologies that I have to cancel. Something came up last minute that I have to tend to. I'm still very much interested in this and would love to be kept posted on next steps.

Sounds less like "Reducing Footprints" & more like "Leaving Handprints." As a Permaculture Teacher with hope in ReWilding as well as Nanotech, there's much we can do together as we grow beyond the limits of Industrial Civilization

My wife and I have been making nearly all of our personal care and household items for about a year. While we certainly appreciate and are motivated by the low impact aspect of this we find a special joy in being post consumer ! Looking forward to learning and sharing

Great Idea Lynn, to start a new group to Lessen Foot Print. I think alot of folks don't even realize how much of a print they leave with their life style. Just giving them information would be well worth it. let me know if you need my help. I too have been "low maintenance" for 4 decades. Carole LokanMoore

I'd be interested, but Sunday afternoons are generally bad for me. The main thing I'd bring up is the notion of working together to generate our own energy. Would this be within the purview?

This will definitely be a collaborative group. But, not sure if that's what you mean. Can you specify?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
