Have you ever wondered which native plants were edible? Join Lytton Musselman, botany professor and colleague of Garrison Kiellor, as we forage for plants and prepare simple edible samples. Learn identification, responsible collecting, and processing of common wild plants including alien invasive species. Dr. Musselman will sign copies of his latest book The Quick Guide to Wild Edible Plants.
Lytton John Musselman, PhD: Lytton earned a PhD in Botany from the University of North Carolina and teaches ethnobotany at Old Dominion University where he currently is an Eminent Scholar and the Mary Payne Hogan Professor of Botany. His most recent books are Plants of the Chesapeake Bay and The Quick Guide to Edible Plants.
