I'm in love with exploring the PNW and crave the outdoors. Looking for like-minded folks who challenge themselves while exploring the Wilderness while also appreciating it.
Yup!
There is something about outdoor adventures that drive me in a way nothing else has. Exploring the Wilderness has become my passion and I derive some sort of peace as well as excitement from exploring places that take a lot of work to get to.
Hell yeah!!
Everywhere?? :) Okay, more specifically, I'd like to backpack the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in WA and would like to complete the entire Timberline Trail. I'm section backpacking the Oregon PCT with my boyfriend and hope to add the WA PCT too...
I work hard during the week and find relaxation and a spiritual connection to nature by doing 17 mile day hikes and epic backpack trips along open ridgelines. Hoping to find like-minded folks with whom to explore the Wilderness and the PNW.

Hi Jessica. Welcome to NWHG! Check out the Pages tab for resources, links and some local events. Members can post meetups, too. Let me know if you need help with that.
Hi, a while back you mentioned to me that you had a couple of PCT trips lined up... just wondering if those are taking shape? I'm hoping for some Northern Washington August action. Looking for hiking buddies!
Hey Jessica, thanks for including me on this hike. I really am sorry I missed the exit, just misunderstood your explanation of the route. Hope you get to Badger Creek someday. Really enjoyed sharing the day and the place with everyone. Take care, Cader
Hey Jessica, just to let you know I'm going to try to make the hike Saturday, but I have two potential conflicts. I may have a chance to go out wandering in the woods with my grandson and another family, and I also may have to teach a class for Audubon. I should know about both of these by Friday noon at the latest and if I have to cancel I will do it as soon as I can. Hope to see you Sat. Thanks, Cader
Hey Jessica, thanks for sharing the book discussion meetup with me. It was fun and inspiring for me.
Hey Jessica! What a great idea for a group. Wow - all the events are filled up. Way to go!
I request more hikes led by you! Specifically, on days I can attend. ; ) I only went on one of your hikes, but I loved your pace! It's hard to find friends to hike with who also keep a decent a pace, and are preferably women. You used to host twice a week and probably got crazy burn out? Haven't seen one posted in awhile... If you are ever hiking off list and want someone to join, I'd be up for it!
Hi Jessica -
Thanks for the pointer to the Leach Botanical Garden-Annual Children's Nature Fair. I will certainly look into it!
First one to post wins!
Oh boy, you and I will get along great if you're into the 15 milers! I am going to do Adams again this year for the fun of Glissading (I will do that one every year as long as I can right?) so if you want to plan something in early July (when I think it will be best this year) give me a heads up!
