I'm looking for a friendly way to share ideas for making my photography better, and to help others do the same. I'm mostly interesting in taking photos and not much post-processing. Maybe that will change once I finally get photoshop. I do have DXO Optics which is pretty nice. Between that and TheGimp I am able to do some post-processing if I really want to.
I have some experience with photographing landscapes, sunsets, wildlife, and people. I'm getting into night photography in preparation for comet Ison later this year.
Have Nikon D300, D7000. Want a D600. Have the holy trinity of FX lenses... 14-24, 24-70, and[masked] F/2.8; Tokina 11-16 F/2.8 DX, 35mm F/1.8; 50mm f/1.4, and the walk-around lens[masked] F/4.5. Have a SB800 flash but don't use it much.

Amateur photographer. I have a wide variety of interests, the usual things a math/science/computer nerd would be interested in.
