MABON FEAST & CELLEBRATION-Let's Learn about the Path

THE CELEBRATION OF MABON. IS WHERE OUR TRADITIONAL AMERICAN THANKSGIVING CAME FROM.It was the second harvest celebration.

So we are celebrating with a feast. Feast and the blessings that go with it will be our ritual

Bring a friend or three!

PLEASE when you RSVP name what you are planning to bring.I will bring a large bird (probably a turkey) and gravy.

Suggested donation of $1 for the cauldron

To help fill the need for a time to learn what it means to be Earth Based.

The CUUPs evening group meets every Sunday evening. (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist PaganS)

We are an a open earth-based pagan group. All who are interested in learning and exploring the Earth Based paths, are welcome to come to our gatherings.

We have on going discussions about many Earth Based topics.

How the discussion usually happen is that there is a person who is knowledgeable on the topic. That person introduces the topic an may talk about it for a while then open the discussion for questions,  comments, anecdotes etc.

These discussions can get quite lively and be a lot of fun. I always find that I learn something new on each topic regardless of how much I have studied it. These groups are designed to be interesting to everyone from the beginner to the adept.

We are looking for volunteers to lead discussions on other types of energy work.

There is no charge, however there will be a donation cauldron if anyone has a burning desire to contribute.

Unexpected family health problems have arisen today and I'm sorry to be unable to make it tonight! It sounds delicious for the body and soul!

I'm probably going to bring a pie. The diet thing isn't working for me at all right now. Too stressed, I think.

Re the salad i promised to bring, i planned to bring a mostly green salad with a few veggies thrown in. Might not be enough though if all nine people want a generous serving, so another green salad probably wouldn't hurt. jenny

A good rule of thumb when you are coming to a potluck is to bring enough for yourself and 5 other people. There will probably more than 10 as this is announced on several sites. I look forward to seeing you again.

Would people be willing to turn off your cell phones (not just the ringers) during the event, unless expecting an urgent call? I have a pretty extreme sensitivity to electro-magnetic frequencies (emfs) and would probably not be able to stay very long if everyone had their phones turned on. A lot of the events at the Unitarian church in Berkeley (where i used to be active) are now cell phone-free and at least one city council has adopted that policy in consideration of people who would not be able to attend otherwise.
